These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the UrbanShine Cleaning Services Ltd website and the booking and provision of cleaning services by UrbanShine Cleaning Services Ltd ("UrbanShine", "we", "our", or "us").

By accessing our website, requesting a quotation, booking a service, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services

UrbanShine Cleaning Services Ltd provides professional residential and commercial cleaning services as described on our website, quotations, and booking confirmations.

All services are subject to availability and acceptance by UrbanShine Cleaning Services Ltd.

2. Quotations and Pricing

  • All quotations are based on the information provided by the customer.
  • Any quotation provided is an estimate unless expressly stated otherwise.
  • Additional charges may apply if the actual condition, size, or scope of work differs from the original information supplied.
  • Additional services requested during a scheduled appointment may incur additional fees.
  • All prices are stated in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and, where applicable, include Goods and Services Tax (GST).

3. Bookings

Customers agree to provide accurate and complete information when making a booking.

We reserve the right to refuse, reschedule, or cancel a booking where:

  • Information supplied is inaccurate or misleading.
  • Safe access to the property cannot be obtained.
  • Health or safety concerns are identified.
  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control prevent the provision of services.

4. Payments

Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We accept approved payment methods listed on our website or invoice.

Where payment is not received within 48 hours of the payment due date, a late payment fee of up to 20% of the outstanding invoice amount may be applied. UrbanShine Cleaning Services Ltd reserves the right to suspend future services until the outstanding balance, including any late fee, is paid in full. Late or unpaid accounts may incur recovery costs, collection fees, and any applicable interest permitted by law.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Customer Cancellations

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled service will generally incur no charge.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment may incur a cancellation fee of up to 20% of the booked service value.

Same-day cancellations or missed appointments may be charged up to 50% of the booked service value.

Company Rescheduling

UrbanShine Cleaning Services Ltd reserves the right to reschedule services due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to staff illness, severe weather events, vehicle breakdowns, emergencies, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where possible, reasonable notice will be provided.

6. Access to Property

Customers must ensure secure and reasonable access to the property at the agreed service time.

If our staff are unable to access the property upon arrival, waiting charges may apply, a lockout fee may be charged, or the appointment may be considered a same-day cancellation.

7. Health and Safety

UrbanShine Cleaning Services Ltd is committed to maintaining a safe working environment. Our staff may refuse to commence or continue work where hazardous conditions, dangerous substances, biohazards, aggressive behaviour, or any other health and safety risk is identified.

Where work cannot proceed for these reasons, the full service fee may still be payable.

8. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Secure valuable items, cash, jewellery, and confidential documents.
  • Inform us of fragile, delicate, or high-value items before the service.
  • Provide access to water and electricity where reasonably required.
  • Ensure all pets are controlled or secured during service delivery.
  • Advise us of any hazards or special circumstances that may affect the service.

9. Damage and Liability

UrbanShine Cleaning Services Ltd takes reasonable care in the provision of its services. However, accidental damage may occasionally occur.

Customers must report any claim, damage, or concern within 48 hours of service completion and provide reasonable opportunity for inspection and assessment.

Where UrbanShine Cleaning Services Ltd is responsible for damage, our liability shall be limited to repair of the affected item or replacement value where repair is not reasonably possible.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, improperly installed fixtures, faulty materials, manufacturing defects, or items that are brittle, unstable, improperly secured, or deteriorated due to age.

10. Service Quality and Concerns

Customer satisfaction is important to us. If you are dissatisfied with the quality of service provided, please notify us within 24 hours of service completion so we can review the matter.

Following review, we may, at our discretion, re-clean the affected areas, provide a service credit, or offer a partial refund.

11. Intellectual Property

All content appearing on our website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, branding, designs, and other materials, remains the property of UrbanShine Cleaning Services Ltd or its licensors.

No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without our prior written consent.

12. Website Use

You agree not to use our website for unlawful purposes, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or data, interfere with the operation or security of our website, or submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access where misuse occurs.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, UrbanShine Cleaning Services Ltd's total liability arising from the provision of services or use of our website shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the relevant service.

We shall not be liable for indirect losses, consequential damages, loss of profits, loss of business opportunities, or special or incidental damages.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies available to consumers under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986, or any other applicable New Zealand legislation.

14. Force Majeure

UrbanShine Cleaning Services Ltd shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure results from events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, floods, earthquakes, severe weather events, pandemics, government restrictions, utility failures, labour disputes, or transportation disruptions.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

16. Amendments

UrbanShine Cleaning Services Ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

Updated versions will be published on our website and become effective upon publication.
